India is the world's only pilgrimage site where the offerings placed in the temple donation box are used to marry the destitute daughters of society. This distinction belongs solely to Shri Bageshwar Dham.

Every Mahashivratri, the Dham holds its annual Kanya Vivah Mahotsav, a mass wedding where poor, orphaned, and helpless daughters from all castes and communities are married with complete Vedic rituals, in the presence of Pujya Gurudev and the blessings of Balaji Maharaj.

The programme began in 2020. In its fourth year, 125 daughters were married; the next year's target was 151. The Dham's pledge: the number will grow every year. Each daughter receives not only the sacred ceremonies, but a complete set of household items for her new home, gifted in the name of Balaji Maharaj.
